Bio

Prior to receiving her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Moontasri earned a Master of Public Health at Columbia University, which inspired her non-profit and volunteer work across Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

 

Dr. Moontasri completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center/Seton Hall University, training in orthopedic oncology at Morristown Medical Center and training in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children where she published several academic chapters on pediatric hand conditions.

 

Dr. Moontasri is a board eligible orthopedic surgeon and is highly qualified to treat orthopedic concerns of both the upper and lower extremity. In addition, she is trained in the surgery of the hand and upper extremity following the completion of her fellowship in Hand, Upper Extremity and Microsurgery from the University of California at Davis and at Shriner’s Children’s Hospital of Northern California.

 

Dr. Moontasri strongly believes in a patient centered approach to care. She takes the time to listen to her patient’s concerns and values shared decision making with patients and their families.

 

Dr. Moontasri has a passion for traveling and finding a hotpot destination wherever she goes. She enjoys spending time with her family, lifting weights and exploring all of the new and interesting things in the area.
